This, without a doubt, is definitely better than my last portrait of Syd (at least in my opinion). If I could
 my own work, this would be added to my list of Favorites. The technical crap: 1. Sketched and shaded in my sketch book with a regular #2 pencil. I used a reference for his face/hair, but the scarf was all me. 2. Colored in Photoshop. Also signed in Photoshop, which would explain the slightly shaky signature at the bottom. Thank you for taking a look, and as always, comments/critiques/ s are always welcomed and appreciated...not that I'm trying to force you to do so, of course. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. I like this drawing a lot.........but it needs something to make it pop, maybe a dark to light background? above a shoulder line?
It looks great in person, nice drawing.
